  43. I have just had the final results for the Wall Ball competition and we came second to Group 6.They went through on shots.
    Gr 1 v Gr 2 ended up all square on the day so we only have ouselves to blame for not being in the final.
    Group 6 14 points +14
    Group 5 14 points -14
    Group 1 10 points
    Group 1 8 points

    Lets make sure we do a better job in the Ashford Final lads.

  44. We went to Group 6 with a six point advantage in the Wally Ball competition and only had to win on one rink to put us into the final.But after an apalling display by our team we lost four nil and by 53 shots.The only rink that was anywhere near a win was the Mick Pace rink but they finally went down by 6 shots.How we managed to lose on all four rinks was a mystery to me as we were well in the driving seat to reach the final.It now all depends on overall shots and the outcome of the Group 1 v Group 2 game.

  46. In the Inter Group Knockout against Group 9 played at Fords we went down by 19 shots.Hard luck lads.

    But there was a great result in the second Wally Ball game against Group 1 as we won by 3 rinks to 1 rink giving us a total of 14 points out of a possible 16.Great result for us to go to Group 6 with next week Sunday 26th.

The Group would like to congratulate George Coster

Group 5 wish to congratulate George Coster on being elected as County President for 2012

Welcome to the Group 5 website.

This has come about with the amalgamation of Group 7 into Group 5, making us the second largest group of clubs within the county, the group is made up of 22 clubs;

Aldersbrook, Barking Borough, Barley, Central Park (East Ham), Clayhall, Clementswood, Cranbrook, Ford Sports, Goodmayes, Hainault, Ilford, Old Dagenham, Parsloes, Phoenix, Plashet Park, Redbridge, Seven Kings, South Woodford, Wanstead, Wanstead Central, West Ham and Woodford.

Within the group there are a total of 8 group competitions; The Champion of Champions, Geoff Hatfield Trophy (Singles), Wauer Trophy (Unbadged Singles), Two Woods (Singles) Unbadged (Double Fours), Seeley Trophy (Two Triples), Beckett Trophy (Double Fours) and the Cordell Cup (Three Rinks)

I hope you enjoy visiting the website and I'll do my best to keep it updated, but I cannot do it without the help of you, THE MEMBERS. If there is anything you feel you would like to contribute to the site either email me via the contact page or upload your pics via the upload form also located on the contact page. Members uploaded pics will be displayed on a members gallery page.
